“I arrived at Greenhill eight years ago and cried with relief! Having had a bad experience at my previous yard I got to Greenhill and was met by one of the girls who immediately took charge and showed me to my stable, the sight of a huge clean fluffy bed and big hay net was too much! I was a new owner having come back to riding after 25 years and needed and lot of backup and help to get over my nerves, all of which was offered with patience and kindness. We have gone from strength to strength and with the help of Nathalie’s lessons we now compete on a regular basis in all three disciplines. There is always a clean, shiny horse ready for me on competition mornings with our head girl on hand to make sure I leave on time. I have all year round turnout and in the summer he goes out for the night and comes in for the day which suits us perfectly. The facilities are second to none and I always have somewhere to ride be it indoors, the outdoor arena, jumping field or hacking in Cirencester Park with the other owners. The support and knowledge of the team is given without question and any medical problems dealt with efficiently and quickly. I recently came back from a ODE with a slightly lame boy but we couldn’t see any obvious causes. The farrier was called and it turned out to be pus in the foot so within a day the problem was dealt with. I leave Greenhill every day safe in the knowledge that my very precious boy is safe, happy, and well looked after - you can’t buy that peace of mind.”

I highly recommend Greenhill Equitation for several reasons, firstly Nat is a great instructor especially for the more experienced rider. It's not just somewhere to learn to ride, you get the chance to do so much more, child or adult and all in a safe environment. Everyone on the yard is super friendly and welcoming at the same time, your safety is of the highest priority.
Being able to ride into the glorious Cirencester park, need I say more.
Lovely atmosphere and things like the rug room café, just shows how they are thinking about what makes the place special. I'm sure they have lots more to come.

I have 2 horses at livery at Greenhill and the standard of care and support is professional, personal and paramount to the utmost care of every horse on the yard. The facilities are outstanding, with indoor and outdoor all year round arenas, immaculate yard and stables, beautiful barn cafe, spectacular location and wonderful all year turnout and grazing where very happy horses run as a herd and play in the stream. “My homebred youngster, Freddie, used to go by the nickname Steady Freddie but no more! Rising 5, he’s morphed into a sharp cissy (not entirely his fault). Sadly, I couldn’t spend the proper amount of time with him over the last 18 months due to a family bereavement & the subsequent meltdown of my parents.

I made the decision to look for a professional to save us (no mean feat in Cornwall) & found Nathalie on the net, best thing I ever did! “Being a student at the RAU, Greenhill is an ideal yard to keep my horse at. I’m on DIY which fits in perfectly with me, but if I can’t make my horse one morning or evening then the yard staff are very happy to do him for me. Archie is very content and settled at Greenhill and I put this down to the routine the yard has. The facilities are fantastic, and throughout the winter the indoor school was ideal! Hacking in Cirencester Park is lovely; you can hack out for hours and never have to do any road work! I have regular lessons with Nathalie and Archie and I have benefitted greatly from these. If ever my horse does have a problem I know the yard staff are knowledgeable and very happy to help. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Greenhill to anyone!”

Nearly a year ago with guidance and support from Nathalie we purchased the lovely Fletcher, who we are privileged to keep at Livery at Greenhill. My granddaughter has been ably supported on her equestrian journey and Fletcher has developed and improved due to the quality of care he receives. The staff team is fantastic and the ethos that is created  has a real community feel, which is a delight to experience for horses, clients and staff. There is a thoughtful approach with appropriate challenge and support given to all clients and in our case particularly to teen livery clients. Such has been the delight of this first year, that we have now purchased another horse Darby for my grandson. In the few weeks he has been at Greenhill his care has been exemplary and a source of great delight to Owen. It was great to see the empathetic approach given to Owen to form a great relationship with his new horse. We look forward to Hattie/Fletcher‘s and Owen/ Darby’s journey together at Greenhill.

“I’ve kept a horse at Greenhill Equitation for nearly six years now and never want to go anywhere else. The hacking is fantastic, you can ride out for two or three hours and never see a road or traffic. You are much more likely to spot a few deer! Equally, we have use of both an indoor and outdoor school with a full set of jumps and lessons available to suit all abilities.

I keep my horse Oscar on full livery because I can only ride at weekends due to my work. All the staff are very committed and give me any help and advice I may need, and they update me on what Oscar has been doing since I was last there. The girls keep him busy, fit and interested with a combination of schooling, jumping and hacking. He really appreciates the daily routine on the yard combined with the variety of his exercise - and as a result is a calm and happy chap.

I don’t worry about Oscar at all between my visits as I know the welfare of the horses is always the prime concern and he is beautifully cared for.”
