Working pupils

We have limited vacancies for working pupils who receive training in return for work.These trainees work towards their British Horse Society Stages exams and their PTT.

Unfortunately we cannot accept total beginners for this course. Realistically students shouldhave at least one year's experience with horses and be able to walk, trot, canter, and jump a small fence. Candidates will be interviewed and assessed. They must be able to communicate in English and want to take exams.

  • 5 1/2 day week
  • trial period of one month
  • possibility of competing/ Hunting
  • Full comprehensive training given in return for hard work
  • Students must find their own accommodationor they can stay in our house subject to accommodation charge.
  • It is an advantage to have a car


Courses are available throughout the year as are the exams.
