The
holiday/short course is designed to improve clients riding skills,
to improve their knowledge of the care of horses and to introduce them
to the world of Competitive riding where appropriate.
Greenhill
equitation accepts
clients over the age of 12. For advanced riders who already compete,
training and coaching is given to improve their skills.
The
course also includes varied and enjoyable hacking and is great fun.
Riding:
Lessons
are in dressage, show jumping and cross country disciplines. All hacks
are accompanied by an instructor as safety is of paramount
importance. All riding activities are closely supervised by staff.
Clients may be able to compete in unaffiliated dressage or show
jumping competitions.
They can accompany horses and riders to international competitions
if their dates coincide. They may swim, fitten and gallop horses
where
skills are more advanced. Beginners learn from scratch the correct
way to look
after and ride their horse or pony. Riders are divided into classes
according to their age and experience. Manor Farm is quite small
and select so
individual care and attention will be given
Practical
Lectures: On a variety of subjects to do with
horse care, schooling horses, good and bad points to look for buying
horses, the health and soundness of your horse, are given.
English: Is taught to all overseas clients where english is not their first
language, concentrating at first on riding in English,
technical
English so they may maximise their enjoyment and derive the greatest
benefit from their riding lessons

Accommodation:

Accommodation can be arranged locally but you must be over 18 or accompanied by an adult.
Insurance: We
strongly recommend that you insure your holiday as fee paid are not
refundable.
Medical insurance
is necessary
for
stays
less than
3 months.
