Career Courses: Career courses for students wishing to become British Horse Society Preliminary or Intermediate Instructors, wishing to compete or to follow a career in the Equine industry.

Training is offered in Dressage, Show jumping, Cross Country training, Fittening horses, Swimming and Galloping horses as part of their fitness programme.

Horse care: Training is given in lunging, loose schooling, horse care and management, horse anatomy, physiology, conformation, lameness and soundness, minor ailments, good and bad health, grassland management, feeding and fittening. Syllabuses are provided by fax to those interested following BHS courses.

Training: Training is given in teaching children and adults, beginners to more advanced riders; dressage, show jumping, lunge and lead rein lessons, correct procedure when accompanying hacks. First aid where appropriate.

Safety: All safety regulations and recommendations on the yard or on the horse are taught from day one. All equestrian activities are supervised.

Competition: Students are invited to compete where it is possible in unaffiliated dressage, show jumping, hunter trial, team chases and unaffiliated events where possible. They are also invited to groom for Competitions. This means accompanying the rider and caring for and preparing the horse for the various aspects of the competition. Care of the competition horse is part of the stage 111 exam course.
Duration: Courses may not be of less than 3 months duration. Realistically, to become an Assistant Instructor will take a competent rider at least 6 months to 1 year depending on their level of English and riding experience.

Language: English. All students who do not have English as their first language will be taught English daily for 1 hour in the afternoon. This will enable students to take exams, which are in English and to teach in English.
Insurance: It is strongly recommended that you insure your course against cancellation by you due to illness or unforeseen circumstances as fees cannot be refunded. Medical insurance is recommended.

Accommodation: Full board including laundry is included as is transport to and from the Yard.

Transfers: If you are not confident in English or if you are a parent sending young people, clients can be met at the airport by taxi and brought to the house.

Cost of this is about £85, payable to the driver.

You can also take a coach from the national express coach station near terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport and also at Gatwick airport. The coach goes to Cirencester where you will be met.

Cost of the coach is about £25.
